Intern Architect Start Date: A.S.A.P Job Overview This position is an important support role in the office where you will provide valuable assistance to the Project Manager and will produce design and technical drawings throughout each phase of a project. The position also offers the opportunity to participate in unique and highly design-focused projects in residential, mixed-use, and hospitality sectors. Qualifications i. Masters degree in Architecture ii. Minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant post-graduate experience in the production of architectural drawings from Schematic Design through to Construction Administration iii. High level of skill with REVIT, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office applications, and 3D rendering softwares iv. Experienced in the production of high-quality renderings and presentation materials v. Multi-unit mid-rise and high-rise residential experience required. Experience in other building types and interiors an asset. vi. Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and other applicable laws vii. Understanding of building science and detailing viii. Strong hand drawing skills required ix. Well organized problem solver Key Responsibilities i. Support the Project Manager in the design of the project, and preparation of Design Development drawings, Tender and Construction Documents, and Specifications using REVIT ii. Sketch and develop design concepts and strategies iii. Coordinate with consultants iv.
