Junior Interior Designer Start date: August 28, 2017 This position is a 4-month contract with potential option to renew. Job Overview This entry level position will provide the candidate with the opportunity to participate in the development of highly design-focused projects and will provide opportunities to develop design and technical skills. The role will also involve administrative duties within the office. Qualifications i. Degree, or working towards a degree, in Interior Design ii. Minimum 1 year of experience working with the following project types: hospitality including restaurants, multi-unit residential, and high-end single-family residential. iii. Displays versatility in architecture and interior design iv. Experienced in the production of high-quality renderings and presentation materials v. High-level of skill in REVIT, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Microsoft Office applications, and 3D rendering softwares vi. Fluent in current design trends, products, and resources vii. Personable, with good verbal communication skills, and exudes a sense of personal style Key Responsibilities i. Manage the studio’s material library ii. Assist in basic administrative duties, including fielding all incoming telephone calls, filing, running office errands, aiding in the preparation of client meetings, and maintaining studio organization iii. Assist with the production of interior design drawings, presentation materials, sample boards, and high-quality renderings, in collaboration with the Project Manager and Designer iv.
