Job Overview
The role of Construction Project Manager is a new full-time position in the company. As a full-service architecture and interior design studio we are looking to expand our capabilities by bringing on a professional to carry out the duties below. This unique position will offer the opportunity to collaborate with our internal architects and designers during the design process through to the completion of construction.
Qualifications
i. Minimum of 10 years of experience in local luxury residential construction
ii. Project Management, Construction or Building Technology Diploma, or related Architecture or Engineering Degree
iii. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of REVIT would be an asset
iv. Highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent time management skills
v. Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
vi. Thorough understanding of construction methods and techniques associated with all trades and suppliers
vii. Knowledge of workplace Health & Safety requirements and relevant provincial and federal legislation
viii. Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and Zoning By-Laws
Key Responsibilities
i. Prepare and manage construction budgets and schedules
ii. Collaborate with our architecture and interior design team in developing the drawings and specifications in alignment with budget
iii. Prepare and coordinate tender and bid packages
iv. Review tenders, negotiate, and award contracts
v. Manage general and sub-contractors
vi. Review and coordinate shop drawings
vii. Document control and preparation of regular reports
viii. Attend site on a regular basis
ix. Create deficiency and punch lists
x. Manage projects to come in on time and on budget
